Healing Through Naked Prayer

Healing Through Naked Prayer

Healing Through Naked Prayer

Healing Through Naked Prayer

Eyes turned up to behold the sun
Knowing that only a moment of
Vision is all that is allowed
Before its power would blind
With its brilliance.

New courage is born in light
A willingness to walk again
Through the shadows of an
Earthbound life,
a life of pain and suffering
Meant to teach and desire
The continuation of life’s journey.

Unhidden in the light
Baring the soul, the mind and body,
Knowing that hiding invites only
Darkness and despair through distrust
A prayer is offered though fullness
Of presence and hope.

I love the poem and the premise. I am hungry for the openness that naked prayer is about.

  2. Lovely poem and image. Congrats Robert and Yvonne.
